The phrase “Behind every successful Man is a Woman” works the other way around as well. Many spouses of stars don’t often get their share of the limelight. But they must be pretty special for a lot of reasons – it can't be easy dealing with the good and the bad that comes with the high profile lives of their significant others! That's why they decided to put together a gallery in tribute to the not-so-well-known ‘pillars of strength’ to our stars.
Saira Banu and AR Rahman

The hugely talented and multi-award winning musician got married to a Chennai-based businesman's daughter on March 12, 1995. Today Saira Banu and ARR are parents to three children - Khadijah, Rahima, and Aameen.
The interview was taken just before the 2009 Academy Awards, Rahman revealed that it was his wife's dream for him to win an Oscar. Fortunately for her and the entire nation, the dream did come true and AR Rahman is today counted amongst the most influential people in the world.

She was the daughter of industrialist Anand Mehta and a pediatrician to boot. She met her famous sports star husband at the airport and didn't recognize him as she had no interest in cricket. After a five-year long courtship the couple married and are parents to two good looking kids.

Natasha Madhvani is the daughter of the beloved Bollywood star Mumtaz and millionaire Mayur Madhvani. It probably came as no surprise that she married into Bollywood then. Fardeen and Natasha were childhood friends. She was brought up with strict Indian values according to her mother who confided that she never let her sleep over at friends' places. Her mother-in-law is also very fond of her as she admitted, "I was overjoyed when I heard it was my favourite baby girl," on hearing of her son's commitment.

Sunjay is a "NRI CEO of Sixt India" had one failed marriage behind him and Karisma one failed engagement. When they decided to get married, it was another case of childhood friends tying the knot.
